Virtual Workshop
Strategic Procurement in Practice
Apply practical frameworks for category strategy, supplier evaluation, negotiation and long-term value creation.

About this session
Strategic procurement is widely discussed but often hard to put into practice amid the pressure of day-to-day requests. This virtual workshop is hands-on: participants work through realistic scenarios using established frameworks, so they leave with approaches they can apply to their own categories and suppliers.
What you will explore
The workshop moves through the procurement cycle in sequence. It starts with category strategy, including how to analyse spend, understand the supply market and set objectives that go beyond price. It then turns to supplier evaluation, looking at how to assess capability, risk and fit in a structured and defensible way.
Later exercises focus on negotiation preparation and on long-term value creation: how to manage supplier relationships after the contract is signed so that the value agreed at award is delivered and improved over time. Participants work in small groups and compare approaches with peers from other organisations and sectors.
Who should attend
The workshop suits buyers, category managers and procurement professionals who want to move from transactional purchasing towards strategic work, as well as team leaders looking for shared frameworks their teams can use. Because the format is interactive, participants should be ready to contribute to group exercises.
